This Privacy Statement describes the personal data that is collected by Tropicoir Lanka (Private) Limited, Growrite Substrates (Private) Limited and Euro Substrates (Private) Limited (hereinafter collectively referred to as ‘TEG’ or the ‘Company’) which is collected, organized, structured, stored and used to provide the services offered by ‘TEG’ in a more efficient manner.

As a Company we are committed to protecting the data of our customers,employees, suppliers, visitors and investors and to such effect we have taken stringent measures to ensure that the data that is collected is protected, kept confidential and is lawfully obtained in terms of prevailing laws including but not limited to the Personal Data Protection Act No 09 of 2022.

The data belonging to our customers:

HOW WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

As a responsible corporate citizen, we have taken great care to ensure that no outside parties have access to personal data belonging to our customers, suppliers and employees. However, in order for there to be greater efficiency, information is shared with the following systems and organizations.

Customer data and supplier information is stored on ERP systems whereby data is stored on servers both locally and overseas.

Employee data is stored on a Human Resources Management System, which is primarily stored on cloud servers equipped with the latest security controls.

Shareholder information is shared with our auditors and secretaries.

 

We may also share your Personal Data with state institutions such as the Inland Revenue Department, Customs, Board of Investment Sri Lanka, or the Sri Lankan Police if required to do so by law or in the event such information is required to be produced before a court of law. Upon such an event we will only disclose the minimum amount of information necessary. We will also inform the data subject concern of any such disclosure unless we are prohibited from doing so by law or by an order of Court.

We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your Personal Data for their own purposes and only permit them to Process your Personal Data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS?

At ‘TEG’ we take all necessary steps to protect the data rights and privacy of our clients, employees, shareholders, visitors and suppliers. In this regard we have taken steps to ensure that all data maintained is accurate and up to date. As a customer, supplier, employee or potential employee, shareholder or visitor of the Company you have the following rights with regards to protecting your privacy and data.

  1. You have the right to access your personal data by writing to our Data Protection Officer and have the right to be provided with a confirmation as to whether such personal data has been processed.
  2. You have the right to request from us in writing to rectify or complete your personal data relating to either data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  3. You have the right to make a written request to have your personal data erased in the event processing of personal data is carried out in contravention of the obligations more fully set out in the personal Data Protection Act or you wish to withdraw your consent if your consent has been granted in terms of Schedule 1(a) of the personal Data Protection Act of Sri Lanka.
  4. You may further requests from us to stop sending you communications or promotional material by writing to the address below or sending us an e-mail to the address set out at the bottom of this document.
  5. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka in the event you are of the belief that the Company has acted in contravention of your rights contained in the Personal Data Protection Act No 09 of 2002.

HOW DO WE STORE AND PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

As a company we place great value on your data and have taken several measures to keep your data confidential and maintain the highest integrity with regards to your data at all times. In this regard we take all necessary steps wherever practicable to process your personal data in a safe and confidential manner by preventing any unauthorized persons and parties having access to your data.

We further use a range of physical and electronic security measures to protect the confidentiality and integrity of the personal information we hold about you.

When we collect data through the Site, we collect your personal details on a secure server. We use firewalls on our servers. Furthermore, we aim to only keep your information for as long as we need it. When we no longer need information, we take reasonable steps to destroy or deidentify it. Production solaire

Notre engagement en faveur de l'énergie durable a conduit à des projets solaires dans nos usines, générant 320 169 kWh d'énergie propre en 2023, réduisant ainsi 230 521,68 tonnes de CO2. Cette initiative réduit considérablement notre dépendance à l'égard des énergies non renouvelables, contribuant ainsi à un avenir plus durable et atténuant les impacts du changement climatique. Nos efforts solaires démontrent notre engagement en faveur de l’utilisation d’énergies propres en faveur d’un avenir plus vert et durable pour les générations à venir.

Inventaire des GES

Forts de notre engagement ferme en faveur du développement durable, nous évaluons chaque année les émissions de gaz à effet de serre dans l’ensemble de nos installations afin d’évaluer notre impact environnemental et d’identifier les sources de notre empreinte carbone. Cela permet des tactiques de réduction stratégiques, alignées sur une consommation et une production responsables. En calculant notre inventaire de GES, nous nous concentrons sur l’efficacité, la minimisation des déchets et l’optimisation des ressources, favorisant ainsi une consommation responsable dans notre organisation. Ces actions soutiennent les objectifs mondiaux de développement durable, réduisant notre empreinte carbone et réaffirmant notre engagement à protéger notre planète.

Kruthugana piyasa - Hôpital

Depuis sa création en 2014, le projet « Kruthaguna Piyasa », qui est notre programme annuel d'aide au logement, est la pierre angulaire de notre engagement envers le bien-être des membres de l'équipe. Chaque année, nous sélectionnons soigneusement 10 employés de chaque usine pour recevoir des allocations de logement. Depuis 2023, cette initiative a permis d'offrir une aide au logement à un total de 253 membres de l'équipe, sans compter ceux qui ont bénéficié de la construction de maisons pleines. Ce programme souligne notre engagement à favoriser un milieu de travail favorable, garantissant que les membres de notre équipe ont les moyens d'obtenir un logement confortable et stable, contribuant ainsi à leur bien-être général.

Notre engagement en faveur de l'avancement des soins de santé nous a amenés à participer activement à ce projet en contribuant financièrement au développement et à la réparation du service pour personnes à forte dépendance de l'hôpital de Kalubowila en 2021. Cet investissement reflète notre engagement à améliorer les installations médicales et à garantir un environnement plus résilient et plus solidaire. pour les soins aux patients dans notre communauté.

Développement des établissements de soins de santé

La rénovation du service de santé mentale de l’hôpital Nikarawetiya, auparavant en mauvais état, a revitalisé les installations essentielles comme les lits, les toilettes et les ventilateurs. Cette mise à niveau garantit un accès local à des soins de santé mentale de qualité, réduisant ainsi le besoin de se déplacer vers des hôpitaux éloignés. Notre engagement dans ce projet met en évidence notre engagement à améliorer la qualité et l’accessibilité des soins de santé, en particulier dans les services de santé mentale, au profit du bien-être de la communauté.

Bourses pour les étudiants de premier cycle

Chaque année, nous soutenons les enfants des membres de notre équipe qui commencent l'université après leurs examens de niveau avancé, en leur offrant une bourse mensuelle jusqu'à l'obtention de leur diplôme. Cette initiative, qui viendra en aide à 16 étudiants en 2023, favorise la motivation académique et forme une main-d'œuvre qualifiée. En autonomisant financièrement les étudiants, nous favorisons l’accès à l’enseignement supérieur et développons les talents pour le développement communautaire et national.

TEG Académie d'anglais et d'informatique

Depuis 2011 et 2013, notre TEG English and IT Academy a joué un rôle central dans la formation de 330 étudiants du village. En 2023, 253 d’entre eux excellent en anglais (de la 1re à la 11e année) et 79 en informatique (de la 6e à la 11e année). Nous nous efforçons de transcender les limites locales de l'éducation en améliorant la maîtrise de l'anglais et les compétences informatiques, préparant ainsi les étudiants à une société mondiale. La TEG Academy est plus qu'une école ; c'est un catalyseur de changement sociétal, favorisant la pensée critique, l'innovation et l'adaptabilité. Cet engagement reflète notre vision d’une communauté autonome et prête pour l’avenir.

Don annuel de livres et bourses d’études

Notre initiative vise à créer un environnement d’apprentissage positif et à fournir des ressources pédagogiques vitales, soutenant le parcours académique des étudiants. Nous allons au-delà de l’aide matérielle, récompensant l’excellence académique en reconnaissant chaque année les étudiants qui excellent aux examens de bourses de 5e année. Ces élèves les plus performants reçoivent une bourse jusqu'à ce qu'ils terminent leurs examens de niveau ordinaire. Ce soutien financier soutenu encourage leurs efforts académiques et assure un soutien éducatif continu tout en apportant un soulagement à leurs parents qui font face à des difficultés économiques.

Anagathaya Wavamu (Développez votre avenir)

Lancé en 2018, le projet de culture de noix de coco « Anagathaya Wavamu » (Cultivez votre avenir) est en passe de planter 500 000 arbres d'ici 2027. Cet effort vise à renforcer les économies rurales du Sri Lanka et à contribuer au système alimentaire du pays, en reconnaissant le rôle vital de la noix de coco. plantations dans la création de valeur et la protection de l’environnement. Le projet se concentre sur le renforcement de la durabilité économique et alimentaire en enseignant l’entretien des arbres et en fournissant des sources de revenus. Notre engagement dans ce projet reflète notre engagement en faveur de la croissance durable et de la résilience des communautés locales, incarnant nos objectifs plus larges en matière de gestion sociale et environnementale.

Un aspect clé du projet « Anagathaya Wavamu » est l’accent mis sur l’implication des enfants dans la plantation d’arbres, dans le but d’inculquer cette habitude à la jeune génération. Le projet est structuré pour impliquer des milliers d'enfants de diverses régions du pays, favorisant une appréciation et une compréhension généralisées de la gestion de l'environnement parmi les jeunes.
